From my first conversation with Annie Mitchell I felt at home, comfortable, and confident that our small organization made the right decision by commissioning her for LightFall. From the early planning through teardown, Annie was with us every step of the way. She brought us her experience, shared her perspectives, made herself available for media, brought the right people to the table to ensure a successful event and curated every step of the quarter-mile experience which our community is still buzzing about.
As LightFall came to a close and the team started teardown there was a sense of relief but also one of sadness. At some point along the way; as we moved through catastrophe and triumph together, we had become family and the realization struck me that what we had just accomplished was truly special. It meant something and in the end, not just the landscape was better for our work but the community was too.
